After testing more than 150 brands from around the world, Ron Jamili decided to create the solution himself.
The Search
He tested over 150 brands. None of them were good enough.
In 2019, Ron Jamili owned a chain of barbershops and a barbering academy. The shelves carried many of the industry's leading brands. Yet neither he nor his clients could find a real solution for beard care.
Beard washes cleaned but left the beard dry. Beard oils were heavy, greasy, slow to absorb, and uncomfortable. No product delivered the performance or the fragrance experience he was looking for. After testing formulas from more than 150 brands across the world, the conclusion was the same every time: the right product did not exist.
So he decided to build it himself.
During a trip to London, Ron met a supplier importing premium raw materials from the Middle East — the same sources used by some of the world's most respected luxury houses. That meeting became the beginning of FROUGE.
The development process lasted nearly two years. Not because it was complicated — because Ron refused to compromise. Performance, absorption, texture, scent evolution, and the overall experience under your hands all had to be right. The first test subject was himself. The second was more than 15,000 clients who visited his businesses throughout the process. Their feedback shaped every formula.
The result was a product customers came back for — repeatedly. Today, FROUGE sources its raw materials from the Middle East and manufactures in the United States.
